Boat wanted: Sailing yacht, 38-43 ft, up to USD 150 000

WANTED: Bluewater Cruising Sailboat | 38–43 ft | Budget ~0K We're experienced sailors and cruisers looking for our next cruising home. We've lived aboard and cruised extensively, so we have a pretty clear idea of what works for us. We're looking for a well-maintained, thoughtfully equipped bluewater cruiser with a warm, comfortable interior and a practical layout for extended living aboard. Our ideal boat: Length: 38–43 feet Budget: Approximately 0,000 USD Construction: Fiberglass hull, preferably with a skeg-hung rudder Layout: Dedicated aft or guest cabin with a closing door and a comfortable berth for two adults Salon: Alcove-style dining table (not a traditional centerline table) Galley: U-shaped or similarly secure, practical offshore galley Navigation: Dedicated chart table with its own seat (I work full time) Head: Preferably one well-designed head rather than two Interior: Warm woodwork, ample natural light, good ventilation, and generous storage Systems: Reliable engine, sound rigging, well-maintained or newly updated systems, and ideally equipped for extended cruising (i.e. ample solar, battery bank, heater, watermaker, etc) Condition is important. We're not looking for a major refit or a boat with years of deferred maintenance. We'd much rather purchase a well-cared-for vessel with meaningful upgrades than take on another restoration project. Ideally we're looking for an interupted boat, someone who was ready to go and plans changed. The Passport 40 is near the top of our list because of its layout, construction, and livability, but we're very open to other designs that offer similar qualities. We know every boat involves compromises, and we're not expecting to find something that checks every single box. Location: Primarily looking in the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia, but open to boats farther afield for the right fit.
